TikTok Implements Immediate Auto-Labeling of AI Content with Digital Watermarks
May 9, 2024, 02:50 PM
TikTok has announced a new initiative to automatically label AI-generated content when it is uploaded to the platform from specific platforms. This move, effective immediately, aims to enhance transparency and combat misinformation, particularly ahead of elections. The labels will identify content created on platforms like DALL-E 3 and using Adobe's Content Credentials metadata. This policy, a first for a global video-sharing service, involves using special digital watermarks to make it clear that the content is not real. Additionally, TikTok has joined the Adobe-led content credential coalition.
