OpenAI Delays Release of GPT-4o Voice Mode for ChatGPT to Fall
Jun 25, 2024, 09:45 PM
OpenAI has announced a delay in the release of its much-anticipated GPT-4o Voice Mode for ChatGPT. Initially planned to start rolling out in a limited alpha to a small group of ChatGPT Plus users in late June, the release has been pushed back by a month to ensure the feature can safely and effectively process requests from millions of users. The broader rollout to all ChatGPT Plus users is now expected to occur in the fall. This delay follows the demo of the advanced Voice Mode, referred to as 'Her,' during OpenAI's Spring Update. The new video and screen sharing capabilities will follow a separate timeline.
