Student Kills 8, Injures 17 in Wuxi Vocational School Stabbing after Failing to Graduate

A 21-year-old man named Xu Jiajin carried out a stabbing attack at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, eastern China, on Saturday evening at approximately 6:30 pm, killing eight people and injuring seventeen others, according to local police authorities. The suspect, a 2024 graduate of the school, was apprehended at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that Xu conducted the attack due to failing to graduate as a result of low grades and dissatisfaction with internship pay. This attack marks one of the deadliest in the region in recent years. Authorities are investigating the incident, which has shocked the nation.
