Former Manchester Police Officer Jailed for 19 Years for Stealing 4 Kilos of Cocaine to Sell on Streets
Oct 18, 2024, 03:00 PM
Former Manchester Police officer Andrew Talbot has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for stealing 4 kilos of cocaine from police storage and selling it on the streets of Manchester. Talbot, who was caught after accidentally dropping a bag of cocaine near his daughter's school, was found guilty following a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) anti-corruption investigation. The investigation revealed that Talbot had stolen drugs with a retail value of almost £400,000 from police stores. CCTV footage at a primary school in Wigan captured the moment his crimes began to unravel. Anti-corruption detective Jennifer Adams described the case as 'one of the most shocking cases of corruption.'
