IDF Rescues Four Israeli Hostages from Gaza in Largest Recovery Operation
Jun 8, 2024, 10:46 AM
In a significant development, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) special forces, in collaboration with Shin Bet and Israel Police, have successfully rescued four Israeli hostages from Gaza. The hostages, identified as Noa Argamani (25), Shlomi Ziv (40), Almog Meir Jan (21), and Andrey Kozlov (27), were taken by Hamas during the October 7 attacks at the Nova music festival. The rescue operation took place in the heart of Nuseirat, a central Gaza refugee camp, and involved large IDF forces who fought off Hamas reinforcements. The hostages were airlifted to a central Israel hospital and are reported to be in good medical condition. Noa Argamani, whose abduction on a motorbike was widely publicized, had been held for 8 months. Her mother, who has terminal brain cancer, had been hoping for her release. This marks the largest recovery operation since the war with Hamas began.
