Ukrainian Drones Target Russian Oil Facilities in Series of Strikes
May 10, 2024, 08:30 AM
Ukrainian forces have conducted multiple drone strikes targeting oil and fuel facilities across Russia, including a significant strike on a fuel depot in Yurovka, Krasnodar Krai, which resulted in at least seven explosions. These strikes are part of a broader series of attacks that have also targeted locations such as the Gazprom Neft Salavat plant in Bashkiria and the Pervyy Zavod refinery in Kaluga Oblast. Despite these attacks, the Gazprom plant reported that it is operating normally. Additionally, Ukrainian drones have hit two oil depots in southern Russia near Anapa, and a drone strike targeted an oil processing plant in Bashkiria. These incidents mark a notable escalation in the conflict, with Ukrainian forces employing long-range kamikaze drones capable of reaching targets over 1,500 km from the border.
