Russia Begins Mass Production of Radiation-Resistant 'KUB-M' Mobile Bomb Shelters

Russia has commenced mass production of mobile bomb shelters, known as 'KUB-M,' which are designed to protect against a range of threats including nuclear radiation, light radiation, shockwaves, fires, and radioactive contamination. The shelters, which resemble reinforced shipping containers, are equipped to withstand both man-made threats and natural disasters. According to the emergency ministry’s research institute, these shelters have a capacity to accommodate 54 people and feature expandable modules. The basic configuration includes two blocks.
