Russia Accuses U.S. of Using Africa as Biological Warfare Testing Ground; Over 30 Individuals Identified, Major General Rtishchev Says
Dec 24, 2024, 11:21 AM
The Russian Defense Ministry has accused the United States of using Africa as a testing ground for biological warfare. Major General Aleksey Rtishchev, Deputy Chief of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops, stated that the U.S. views Africa as an 'unlimited natural reservoir' for pathogens and dangerous infections. He claimed that the U.S. military's biological presence on the continent is expanding rapidly, with over 30 individuals identified as participants in illegal military-biological activities. The allegations suggest that U.S. programs in Africa are part of a broader strategy to conduct medical experiments, which could bypass international obligations. Additionally, concerns were raised about the involvement of U.S. contractors who previously worked in Ukraine, indicating a potential shift of operations to African nations such as Senegal. The Russian government has stated that American pharmaceutical companies benefit from these activities.
