U.S. House Passes $95B Aid for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan with Bipartisan Support
Apr 20, 2024, 06:09 PM
The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, marking a significant bipartisan effort. The package, which also includes humanitarian support, was passed after overcoming procedural hurdles with the support of a coalition of lawmakers. The aid package, which was negotiated with the White House, is expected to be passed by the Senate next week. This legislative action ends months of political impasse and includes specific allocations: $60.8 billion for Ukraine, $26.4 billion for Israel, and $8 billion for Taiwan.
