Google Unveils Gemini 2.0 with Trillium Chip, Offering 2x Speed Enhancement

Google has unveiled Gemini 2.0, the second generation of its artificial intelligence model, marking a significant milestone in the company's AI advancements. Introduced by Demis Hassabis, head of Google DeepMind, Gemini 2.0 is described as Google's most capable model yet and is 2x faster than its predecessor. Powered by the new Trillium AI chip, which provides a 4x speed enhancement, the model boasts enhanced multimodal capabilities, allowing it to process different types of information simultaneously. Gemini 2.0 introduces real-time voice interactions and desktop information retrieval, positioning it as a step closer to Google's vision of a universal AI assistant.
