Oct 19, 2024, 07:46 AM
On Saturday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea was reportedly targeted by a kamikaze drone launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Netanyahu’s office confirmed the attack, stating that neither the Prime Minister nor his wife were at home at the time, and no injuries were reported. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that three drones infiltrated Israeli airspace from Lebanon; two were intercepted, and one flew approximately 70 kilometers before striking a building near Netanyahu's private home. The drone flew directly over an Israeli helicopter, and military helicopters were reported to have chased it. Sirens were triggered in the Glilot area due to the drone infiltration, but no further threats were reported. The incident signifies heightened tensions between Israel and Lebanon.
