Israel Strikes Hezbollah Intelligence HQ in Beirut After Evacuation Warnings
Oct 20, 2024, 06:04 AM
Israel's military has launched a series of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah assets in Beirut, Lebanon. The Israeli Air Force attacked Hezbollah's central underground command center, intelligence headquarters, and an underground weapons-production facility in the southern suburbs of Beirut. The strikes, which occurred after evacuation warnings were issued to residents, are part of ongoing efforts guided by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intelligence to mitigate threats from Hezbollah. The IDF reported that steps were taken to minimize civilian harm during the operations. In addition to the strikes in Beirut, Israeli forces have also targeted Hezbollah headquarters in southern Lebanon.
