The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the evacuation of some personnel from its diplomatic missions in Damascus, Syria, while confirming that the Russian Embassy remains operational. The evacuation included staff from the diplomatic missions of North Korea, Abkhazia, and Belarus. The personnel were airlifted to Moscow's Chkalovsky Airport via a special flight from the Hmeimim airbase. Despite the evacuation, the Russian Embassy in Damascus continues its operations, as stated by the ministry.
