The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI have successfully conducted an international operation to delete malware known as 'PlugX', which was used by China-backed hackers. This operation, part of a French-led initiative, targeted and erased malware from approximately 4,258 U.S.-based computers and networks. The malware, associated with cyber actors identified as Mustang Panda and Twill Typhoon, has been active since 2014 and has been used to control computers and steal sensitive information worldwide.
