VisitU.S. Bars Imports from Chinese Footwear, Seafood, Aluminum Firms Over Uyghur Forced Labor
Jun 11, 2024, 06:46 PM
The U.S. has barred imports from three Chinese companies involved in making seafood, aluminum, and footwear due to their links to forced labor programs in China's Xinjiang region. The companies added to the entity list are Dongguan Oasis Shoes Co., electrolytic aluminum maker Xinjiang Shenhuo Coal and Electricity Co., and a food processor from Shandong. This action is part of the U.S. government's ongoing efforts to address human rights abuses affecting minorities, including Uyghurs, in China.
