Israel Confirms Killing Hamas Government Head Rawhi Mushtaha and Two Others in Gaza Strike Three Months Ago

The Israeli military announced that it killed Rawhi Mushtaha, the head of the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip and a key ally of Yahya Sinwar, in an airstrike on a fortified tunnel in northern Gaza three months ago. Alongside Mushtaha, the strike eliminated two other senior Hamas officials: Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio in Hamas' political bureau and managed the labor committee, and Sami Oudeh, who oversaw Hamas' cyber and innovation portfolio. The operation was conducted jointly by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet). The IDF has now confirmed the deaths, highlighting the successful elimination of these high-ranking Hamas members.
