Oct 29, 2024, 09:13 AM
An Israeli airstrike on a five-story residential building in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, has resulted in significant civilian casualties. The building, belonging to the Abu Nassr family, housed over 300 displaced civilians seeking refuge from ongoing hostilities. According to local sources, the strike occurred early Tuesday morning. Initial reports indicated at least 55 people were killed, but the death toll has since risen to at least 93, including 25 children, as per local health officials. Many victims are women and children, and dozens have been injured. Rescue efforts are ongoing but are hampered by limited resources in the besieged area. The incident marks one of the deadliest single attacks in the region amid the recent escalation.
