Rodríguez, a close ally of Maduro, was confirmed alongside Pedro Infante and América Pérez as first and second vice presidents, respectively, with María Alejandra Hernández and José Omar Molina appointed as secretary and subsecretary. The assembly's decision to maintain its leadership, dominated by a majority officialist bloc, comes amidst ongoing political tensions, with the opposition claiming electoral fraud in the recent presidential election that saw Maduro proclaimed as the winner with 52% of the votes.
