Antisemitic Incidents in US Surge 200% to Record High of Over 10,000 Since Oct 2023, ADL Reports
Oct 6, 2024, 05:34 PM
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has reported a significant surge in antisemitic incidents in the United States since the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack in Israel. Over 10,000 incidents were recorded between October 2023 and September 2024, up from 3,325 the previous year, effectively tripling in number and representing a more than 200% increase. This marks the highest number of antisemitic acts ever recorded by the ADL since it began tracking such incidents in 1979. The increase is particularly pronounced on college campuses, where more than 1,200 incidents were reported, reflecting a 500% rise.
