Georgia's Constitutional Court Rejects President Zurabishvili's Challenge to Parliamentary Election Results
Dec 3, 2024, 12:14 PM
The Constitutional Court of Georgia has dismissed lawsuits filed by President Salome Zurabishvili and former opposition MPs challenging the constitutionality of the October 26 parliamentary elections. The court's final decision, which cannot be appealed or revised, rejected the claims that sought to invalidate the election results and not recognize the newly elected Parliament. Only two out of nine judges were in favor of considering the suit.
