The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Israel, including a ballistic missile strike targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic missile of the type 'Palestine2'. The missile attack was carried out in retaliation to Israeli strikes on Sanaa's international airport and other targets in Yemen. The Houthis also reported launching drone attacks on Tel Aviv and a ship named Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea. The Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, confirmed the successful execution of these operations, stating that the missile reached its target despite Israeli efforts to censor the information. The attacks come amidst heightened tensions following Israeli military actions in Yemen, which have included strikes on airports, ports, and power stations.
