Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre Found Guilty of Discrimination Against Roz Adams Over Gender-Critical Beliefs
May 20, 2024, 11:18 AM
An employment tribunal has ruled against the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) for discriminating against Roz Adams, a former employee, based on her gender-critical beliefs. The tribunal found that Adams was constructively dismissed and subjected to harassment, with the judgment describing the investigation against her as 'Kafkaesque' and likening it to a 'heresy hunt.' The tribunal criticized the ERCC's chief executive, a male, for pursuing a policy of sacking female employees who disagreed with his extreme gender ideology. The judgment has sparked calls for the resignation of the ERCC board and CEO. Adams was represented by Naomi Cunningham from Legal Feminist and SexMattersOrg. The tribunal also noted that the investigation against Adams was reminiscent of the works of Franz Kafka.
