France Summons Israel's Ambassador After UN Peacekeepers Injured; Macron Condemns 'Deliberate Targeting'

France has summoned Israel's ambassador following repeated incidents where Israeli forces deliberately opened fire on United Nations peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, including at UNIFIL's main base at Naqoura. Two UNIFIL soldiers, known as blue helmets, were injured, one critically. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the continued deliberate Israeli attacks on UNIFIL, stating that such actions constitute serious violations of international law and must cease immediately. French President Emmanuel Macron declared that France will not tolerate the deliberate targeting of UN peacekeepers by Israel.
