IDF Claims 4,000 Hezbollah Killed, 80% Missile Capabilities Destroyed in Lebanon Offensive

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported significant gains against Hezbollah in a prolonged conflict spanning the past 14 months. According to the IDF, approximately 4,000 Hezbollah operatives have been killed, with 16,000 more injured and unable to fight. The majority of these losses occurred during a ground offensive launched in southern Lebanon in late September. The IDF has also claimed to have destroyed 80% of Hezbollah's missile capabilities and eliminated much of its senior leadership, including replacements. Additionally, 50% of Hezbollah's infrastructure has been destroyed. Notably, the IDF reports a 1:42 casualty ratio, with 48 Israeli soldiers lost in Lebanon since October 1. Despite these setbacks, Hezbollah reportedly retains about half of its operational capabilities. The IDF continues to enforce its military objectives in the region.
