Kerala Assembly Unanimously Passes Resolution on Monday to Rename State to 'Keralam'

The Kerala Legislative Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution on Monday to rename the state from 'Kerala' to 'Keralam'. The resolution, moved by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, received support from both the Opposition Congress-led UDF and the treasury benches. The Assembly is urging the central government to bring in a Constitutional amendment to officially change the state's name. This marks the second time the Assembly has passed such a resolution.
