Conor McGregor Ordered to Pay €248,603 After Being Found Liable for Sexual Assault on Nikita Hand
Nov 22, 2024, 05:19 PM
Conor McGregor, the mixed martial arts fighter, has been found liable for sexually assaulting a woman in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. On November 22, 2024, a civil jury awarded the woman, identified as 35-year-old Nikita Hand, damages amounting to €248,603 (approximately $258,594). The verdict came after a two-week trial at the High Court in Dublin, during which the jury heard that McGregor assaulted Hand in a hotel penthouse following a night of heavy partying. McGregor, who denies all accusations and claims the encounter was consensual, was present at the court alongside his fiancée, Dee Devlin, who was seen leaving the court in tears after the verdict was announced. Hand expressed her relief after the verdict, stating, "I hope my story is a reminder that you can stand up for yourself if something happens to you, no matter who the person is."
