A fire broke out in an eight-story mixed-use commercial and residential BYC building near Yatap Station in Bundang, Seongnam, South Korea, trapping multiple people inside. The fire started in a restaurant kitchen on the first floor, prompting an emergency response from the fire department. The fire department escalated the response to level 2, deploying 41 pieces of equipment and 103 personnel to combat the blaze. As of the latest reports, approximately 40 people have been rescued, while around 50 others managed to evacuate on their own.
