Riley Strain's Cause of Death Confirmed: Accidental Drowning, .228 BAC, and Intoxication

The cause of death for Riley Strain, a 22-year-old University of Missouri student who went missing in Nashville, has been confirmed. Strain's body was found in the Cumberland River on March 22, two weeks after he disappeared on March 8 during a trip with his fraternity brothers. The autopsy and toxicology reports revealed that Strain died from accidental drowning, alcohol poisoning, and ethanol intoxication. His blood alcohol content (BAC) was .228, more than twice the legal limit, and THC was also found in his system. The case had garnered national attention following his disappearance in March.
