The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a Southwest Airlines flight that descended to a dangerously low altitude while approaching Oklahoma City Will Rogers World Airport. The incident involved a Boeing 737-800, which descended to approximately 525 feet above the ground, triggering a low altitude alert from air traffic control. The flight, identified as Southwest flight #WN4069, was about nine miles from the runway when the alert was issued. The aircraft's approach caused alarm among residents in an Oklahoma neighborhood, who feared it might crash into their homes. The flight originated from Las Vegas and the incident occurred just after midnight on Thursday.
