O.J. Simpson's Executor Reverses, Accepts Goldman Claim, Clarifies Estate's Value
Apr 16, 2024, 08:18 PM
Following the death of O.J. Simpson on April 10, his final will was filed in Clark County, Nevada. His attorney and executor of the estate, Malcolm LaVergne, initially stated he would fight to ensure the Goldman family received nothing from Simpson's estate, directly contradicting a previous statement where he claimed the Goldman family would get zero. This statement was in relation to the $33.5 million civil judgment awarded to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1997. However, LaVergne has since reversed his stance, now asserting that he will work with the families to settle the claims and that Fred Goldman's claim will be accepted. The executor also clarified that Simpson did not die with millions, addressing speculations about the estate's value.
