Iran has successfully launched the domestically-manufactured Chamran-1 research satellite into space aboard the Qaem-100 satellite carrier, reaching a 550 km orbit. The satellite was designed and built by the Space Group of Iran Electronics Industries (SAIran) in collaboration with the Aerospace sector.
