IDF Confirms Four Soldiers Killed in Rafah Ambush by Hamas

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the deaths of four soldiers during combat in Rafah, southern Gaza. The soldiers, from the 52th battalion, were killed in an ambush by Hamas fighters near the Philadelphi Corridor. The fallen soldiers have been identified as Captain Daniel Mimon Toaff, 23, Staff Sergeant Agam Naim, 20, Staff Sergeant Amit Bakri, 21, and Staff Sergeant Dotan Shimon, 21. Agam Naim is noted as the first female soldier to have been killed during the IDF’s ground operations in Gaza. Additionally, five other soldiers were wounded in the incident, with three sustaining serious injuries. The ambush involved an explosion, and three of the soldiers were from the Givati Brigade.
