Venezuelan Migrant Brandon Simosa with Tren de Aragua Ties Arrested for Robbing Manhattan ADA, Caught Masturbating
Nov 21, 2024, 02:16 PM
A Venezuelan migrant with ties to the Tren de Aragua gang was arrested for robbing and exposing himself to a Manhattan assistant district attorney in her apartment building. The suspect, identified as Brandon Simosa, had illegally crossed the U.S. border in Texas in 2023 and had a history of six prior arrests within the year, including charges for domestic assault and grand larceny. Despite his criminal record, a judge had dismissed his deportation case. Simosa was apprehended outside the Row Hotel migrant shelter in Manhattan and was reportedly staying in a taxpayer-funded hotel. The incident has raised concerns about the handling of migrants with criminal backgrounds and the safety of public officials. The assistant district attorney works in the office of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. Simosa was caught masturbating during the robbery and was on public assistance.
