Ohio State Beats Indiana 38-15 for 30th Straight Win Over Hoosiers
Nov 23, 2024, 08:21 PM
In a top-five showdown at Ohio Stadium, No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers 38-15, handing Indiana their first loss of the season and ending their 10-game winning streak. Indiana, boasting the nation's No. 1 rushing defense, struck first with an 11-play, 70-yard drive to lead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. However, special teams errors by Indiana contributed directly to two Ohio State touchdowns, allowing the Buckeyes to tie the game and take a 14-7 lead by halftime. Ohio State dominated the second half, scoring 24 unanswered points to extend their lead to 31-7. Indiana added a late touchdown and two-point conversion to make it 31-15, but Ohio State sealed the victory with a final touchdown in the closing seconds. This marks Ohio State's 30th consecutive win over Indiana. Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day commented on the late touchdown, saying, "We wanted to finish the right way and make sure everyone knows, it's the Ohio State Buckeyes." With this loss, Indiana falls to 10-1 and is unlikely to make the Big Ten championship game.
