Azimuth Airlines Flight from Sochi Catches Fire on Landing in Antalya; All 95 Evacuated Safely

A Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 operated by Azimuth Airlines caught fire upon landing at Antalya Airport in southern Turkey on Sunday, leading to the temporary suspension of landings at the airport. The aircraft, flight A45051 from Sochi, Russia, experienced a fire in its left engine after touching down. All 95 people on board, including 89 passengers and six crew members, were safely evacuated via emergency slides without reported injuries. Emergency services extinguished the fire within minutes, and authorities are investigating the cause of the incident. The Russian Consulate General in Antalya provided assistance to the passengers.
