VisitRussian Skydivers Set World Record with 80km Jump Using Dalnolet System Amid -57°C and 350 km/h Winds
Dec 2, 2024, 06:00 AM
Skydivers from the Russian Ministry of Defence's State Flight Test Centre have set a new world record for the longest parachute jump, descending from an altitude of over 80 kilometers. The jump, which took place under extreme conditions with temperatures reaching -57°C and wind speeds of 350 km/h, involved 96 parachutists who successfully executed a synchronized 'head up' formation. This feat was made possible using the fully Russian-made Dalnolet parachute system, as reported by the press service of Rostec. The jump marks a significant achievement in both skydiving and aerospace technology.
