Club Q Shooter Pleads Guilty to 74 Federal Hate Crimes, Receives 55 Life Terms

Anderson Lee Aldrich, the 24-year-old shooter who killed five people and injured 19 others in a 2022 attack at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, pleaded guilty to 74 federal hate crime and weapons charges. Aldrich, already serving a life sentence for state charges, was sentenced in federal court to six life sentences plus 2,398 years in prison without the possibility of parole. The attack, which took place in a mostly conservative city, was premeditated and fueled by bias, according to federal prosecutors. Aldrich received 55 life terms in prison.
