Authorities in Gujarat have seized MDMA drugs and raw materials valued at Rs 1,814 crore from a factory operating without state oversight in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The operation was conducted by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) as part of the state's 'No Drug' policy initiatives. Two key conspirators, Amit Prakash Chandra Chaturvedi and Sanyal Prakash, were arrested in connection with the illegal operation; notably, Sanyal Prakash was recently released from prison. The factory was producing the banned synthetic drug MDMA. Gujarat Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, announced the seizure, and ATS Deputy Inspector General Sunil Joshi indicated that actions are being taken against international drug smugglers and producers of synthetic drugs in the country.
