Georgia Reports Russian Bomb Threats Disrupted Fulton County Polling Stations
Nov 5, 2024, 07:22 PM
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that five non-credible bomb threats that briefly disrupted voting at two polling places in Fulton County, including Union City—a community with a 90% African American population—originated from Russia. The polling stations were evacuated for approximately 30 minutes before resuming operations. The FBI is aware of similar bomb threats to polling locations in several states, including Michigan and Wisconsin, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. Raffensperger stated, "We identified the source; it was from Russia," adding, "They're up to mischief. They don't want us to have a smooth, fair, and accurate election." The FBI has deemed the threats non-credible but is investigating the incidents.
