The death toll from the December 20 attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market has risen to six after a 52-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries, prosecutors announced on January 6. The vehicle-ramming attack resulted in six fatalities and 299 injuries. The suspect, a Saudi national, had been involved in seven prior investigations between April 2023 and October 2024, including two cases where he was the accused.
