Lion Kills 35-Year-Old Handler at Obasanjo's Abeokuta Wildlife Park
Sep 29, 2024, 02:04 PM
A lion at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Wildlife Park in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has killed a 35-year-old handler, Babaji Daule. Reports indicate that Daule, who was born in Bauchi State, forgot to secure the locks and barricade the lion’s enclosure before approaching the cage to feed the animal. The Ogun State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Park managers stated that Daule had ignored safety procedures to show guests the animal’s feeding routine.
